Bullying is always in the news and the consequences of bullying can be disastrous. Here at FK-MMA we know that bullying is a widespread problem and goes on in every school but it's the way it's dealt with which makes the difference. The first thing that you should do if you're being bullied is to tell someone about it. You shouldn't suffer in silence. You can tell a friend, a parent or a teacher at your school.

Bullying can happen to anyone at any age. Being bullied at school, home or online might involve someone pushing you, hitting you, teasing you, talking about you or calling you names. People who bully others often try and make the person feel as if it's their fault. It's not. No-one has the right to bully you.

Words might not physically hurt you, but the memory of them can stay with you for a long time. This can leave a young person feeling scared, anxious, lonely and sad. In extreme cases, being bullied can make some young people withdraw and may cause problems within school and family life. It may also lead to young people self-harming or finding other ways to let their feelings out.

The Instructors at FK-MMA are passionate about what they do and want to help every young person achieve their full potential whatever their age. The FK-MMA syllabus teaches respect, discipline, helps with social skills and promotes self-confidence.

Children learn to defend themselves and this knowledge helps children project a much more confident image and therefore not come across as an easy target for bullies and ultimately stops bullying in its tracks. If you are a parent who is worried about bullying and wants help with their child’s confidence, please come and speak with our Instructors about how we can help.
